Episode 019
It's hard to believe that we're already in our fifth week of the internship. Time has flown by so quickly, and we've learned so much during this time. However, today was different. When we arrived at the office, we were surprised to find that our supervisor, Sir Sam, was not there. It was strange, as he was always punctual and never missed a day of work.
Despite his absence, we knew we had to continue with our pending tasks. We couldn't afford to fall behind on our deadlines, and we didn't want to disappoint Sir Sam when he returned. So, we dove into our work, trying our best to stay focused and productive.
As we worked, we heard rumors of a press conference that would be held later that day. It was about the upcoming election for the position of President at the institution we were interning at. Intrigued, we decided to watch it, not realizing that our supervisor was actually the host for the event.
As we listened to the plans of the candidates for BU President, we couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. We were witnessing history in the making, and it was inspiring to see so many people committed to making a difference.
Despite the distraction of the press conference, we managed to stay on task and complete our work. It was challenging, but we knew that it was important to stay focused and productive. We wanted to make sure that we were doing our part to contribute to the success of the institution.
In conclusion, although our supervisor's
absence was unexpected, it was a valuable lesson in adaptability and
resilience. We learned that sometimes things don't go as planned, but it's
important to stay focused and productive nonetheless. And, as we witnessed the
press conference and the plans of the candidates for BU President, we were
reminded of the importance of commitment and dedication to a cause. It was an
exciting day, and one that we won't forget anytime soon.
Episode 020
As the end of February approached, it felt like
the work we had been doing was never-ending. We were all eager to finish our
tasks and move on to the next phase of our project. However, we couldn't help
but notice the buzz of excitement in the air as Daraga prepared to celebrate
the Cagsawa Festival. Despite the high traffic in the area, we knew that we
still had to continue with our work and focus on completing our tasks.
After working diligently, we finally timed out,
giving us the opportunity to take a break and unwind. Some of my friends and I
decided to make the most of the festival and headed to the Sports Complex of
Bicol University to watch the Street Dance Exhibition. It was a thrilling and
colorful display of cultural dances and performances that left us in awe.
As we watched the talented performers move to
the rhythm of the music, we couldn't help but feel a sense of pride in our
community and its rich cultural heritage. The festival brought together people
from all walks of life, and we were fortunate enough to be able to witness this
celebration firsthand.
In conclusion, despite the never-ending work
that we faced, we were able to take a much-needed break and enjoy the vibrant
Cagsawa Festival. It was a reminder of the importance of taking a step back and
appreciating the unique cultural experiences that our community has to offer.
We left feeling recharged and ready to tackle whatever challenges lay ahead.
Episode 021
As the last day of the work week approached, we
were all filled with anticipation and excitement. To our delight, we
successfully defended our capstone project. It was a moment of triumph and
relief that we had accomplished what we set out to do. My colleagues
congratulated me and we all shared a sense of pride and accomplishment.
Despite the excitement of our successful
defense, we knew that there was still work to be done. We continued to focus on
the task at hand, knowing that there were still deadlines to be met and goals
to be achieved. We remained committed to working hard and striving for
excellence in everything we did.
The words of John Keating from Dead Poets
Society rang true in our minds: "Carpe Diem - Seize the day." We knew
that every moment was precious and that we needed to make the most of our time.
We were inspired to continue pushing ourselves to be the best we could be, both
professionally and personally.
Looking back on the week, it was indeed a great
one, filled with moments of success and achievement. However, we were not
content to rest on our laurels and were already looking ahead to the coming
week, hoping for even more blessings and opportunities to grow and succeed. Here's
to more successful weeks ahead!
