𝗘𝗣𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗗𝗘 𝟬𝟬𝟮. It's Okay to Not Be Okay (2020)
In spite of the fact that it's
the final day of the month, our internship is just getting started. Soon after
clocking in, my co-intern and I got right to work on the assignment that we had
left unfinished the day before. We came to the conclusion that it was in our
best interest to complete it as quickly as possible so that we could move on to
the next task that our supervisor would be assigning to us. During that time,
we were also introduced to the very delightful wife of our supervisor as well
as his adorable kid. They have a really sweet and endearing family. The next
duty was given to us by our supervisor once we had completed sifting through
all of the stacks of documents. The task at hand is to scan all of the papers
that include full signatures. At first, we had no trouble completing the task
since we assumed it would be simple; nevertheless, as time went on, the fact
that we had to do it again and over made us exhausted. Following then, there
was a little accident that took place. A PAPER JAM. It is a very distressing experience
to see paper become stuck since it was still required because, after scanning
it, we would distribute the documents to the various program advisers. Seeing
the paper becoming jammed is a truly traumatic event. We had a great deal of
concern at the time because we did not know how our supervisor would react,
which is why we did not hesitate to report the incident. However, I was taken
aback when he simply laughed at the situation and assured us that everything
would be fine so long as the text and the signature were not tampered with in
any way. It was a relief, but it still made me unhappy since it was the first
mistake that our team had made on the job. According to the statement made in
the series It's Okay to Not Be Okay, "We make mistakes until we
die." This remark is in point of fact correct. It is acceptable to
have mistakes so long as one draws insight from their mishaps. Something
that went wrong will demonstrate where our weaknesses lie and what we need to
work on improving. The second day of our internship has come to a successful
close. Looking forward to what comes after this.
